In other news, the Cheatin' Tarheels continue to roll along with no penalty in sight.
If they stall long enough, they'll evetually use the defense of "why punish our current student athletes when they had nothing to do with the scandal".

Defense tactic number 2 is "Look, everyone is just ready to move on... sports fans have Scandal Fatigue... let's just play the games..."

Defense tactic number 3 is "This is a witch hunt...! UNC has fully cooperated with NCAA, blah, blah blah..."

CU fans hate hate hate UNC with the fiery passion of 1000 suns. Can't wait for that place to burn. Glad to see they're still salty after beating us 4 years ago.

I don't agree, who is anyone to tell a kid he has to stay on a bench?

They can transfer, but they have to sit out a year like every other transfer.

If you believe in "student-athletics" then what is the point? The student got a degree, graduated and is ready to get his masters elsewhere. You want to see transfers cut down? Make scholarships for 4 years. I think people would be surprised how many transfers are actually asked to leave by the coach.

That's fine. Except for the fact that only 32% do get the masters. It's free agency. The kids say they want their masters, but it's a joke because they're only going there for the sports.

Who cares? It's not like it's big time players doing it. It's marginal players looking for a better situation.

Mid majors are the ones who can really complain about it. They lose star players.

I'd think twice about redshirting a kid now for development reasons. Doesn't make sense to invest in that redshirt year if he can take all of that training somewhere else for his big year.

It all depends on who you consider "big time," and "marginal." There are many 5th year transfers that are very good players, contributing greatly to teams that will be playing in the tourney in March. Don't know if that means "big time" but it certainly doesn't mean "marginal." We lost a starter off a Top 5 team to Oregon. He's been hurt this year unfortunately but he certainly was a very good player.

We lost Tyler Harris. Auburn is his third school (NC State, PC, Auburn). Averaging 15 and 8 for a bad team. Probably made sense for both parties. He wanted to be able to gun to join his brother in the NBA. At PC he would have been a third option at best (Dunn, Bentil). If he was able to play within the system, he could have helped.

The 2 graduate transfers for Louisville were the top 2 scorers on a top 20 team. Hardly marginal players I'd say.....
