No, it's Stever, he called the AAC a "multi-bid league"

Another 2-1 weekend for the BEast against the P5. Nova with another impressive win against a defector, and Xavier takes out the Utes. Side note - nice win by the Bulldogs over Cincy.

12/12: Seton Hall vs. South Carolina
12/17: Georgetown vs. Syracuse
Butler vs. Indiana
Wake Forest vs. Xavier
12/18 Penn State vs. St. John's

ACC : 4-2
B1G: 5-9
B XII: 0-2
PAC 12: 6-2
SEC: 5-1

Overall: 20-16

Go Big East!

And the AAC is absolutely a multi-bid league. The AAC is right now in both RPI and Ken Pom an easy #7. They are no where remotely near having only 1 bid.

When you mention Multi-bid, I assume you mean two. Who are the teams right now Cincinnati & ????

The point is I don't know. That's a problem in itself

interesting article. I'd be curious to see if he's written anything about the A10- a conference that is really struggling.

to me, the AAC is very similar this year to what the A10 has done in the recent past. And that's been a recipe to get a good number of tourney teams.

also interesting what he said about the Big East.

Stever, SMU was the only other team besides the Bearcats in Joe's last bracketology. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology They're 7-3 and have a 60 rpi. Seems kinda fishy...

The RPI is meaningless right now.

And whether you like it or not, the odds of the AAC getting only 1 team are pretty close to slim and none. It's very hard for a conference that wins about 65% of their games to wind up with only 1 team. I know that's what you want, but it's just not realistic.

Tough to imagine the AAC not grabbing a few bids this year. Who else will get the bids? I can't imagine < 0.500 teams from the P5 will get bids unless they pick up W's in the conference tourneys, and the A-10, MW, and Missouri Valley do not have depth this year. The only reason to think the AAC won't get many bids is that the committee almost blatantly hates the conference.

yeah, and Tulsa last year blew that notion probably out of the water.
