Nope, I'd say they're both games that don't mind move the needle.

so just was looking at Jerry Palm's twitter and he said in a tweet that he doesn't look at Ken Pom with regards to the brackets....

Maybe that's why he's been so putrid the last few years- think it was #72 in the last 3 years.

Patrick Stevens- before last night...
Providence 7 South- lost last night
Butler 12 South FF- won last night
Xavier 2 West
Seton Hall 8 MW- lost last night
Nova 1 East

Georgetown 6th team out (but Tulsa was 8th team out, and Texas Tech was 10th team out and both got huge wins last night which should hurt Georgetown some)....

Lunardi just updated.....5 Big East teams although Butler and Seton Hall are part of last 4 in. Creighton makes appearance in next 4 out.

Last 4 in is not ideal, but from a number of bids perspective that would be solid. Looking at the power conferences:
ACC 8/16=50%
Pac 7/12=58%
B12 6/10=60%
B1G 6/14=43%
SEC 5/14=36%
BE 5/10=50%

Percentage wise we are right in the middle of the power picture. Other multi-bid leagues:
AAC 3/11=27%
A10 3/14=21%
WCC 2/10=20%
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

That Marquette win over Providence was very helpful to the Hall. Puts them at 8-4 vs RPI 11-100. It would be very nice if the warriors could win enough games to stick in the top 100. The league finishing with 8 of 10 teams in the rpi top 100 would also make a solid case for getting a 5th and maybe even a 6th team into the tourney.

Agreed. Our tourney hopes are shot unless we win the autobid but a couple of wins (against the right teams) could possibly help the bubble squads. That said, after last night's games we dropped from 95 to 99. Still in, but holding on by a thread.

Nine of the Big East teams (and their fans) would be welcomed with open arms at a UD Arena play-in game, and enjoy a near home-court advantage against any opponent. By a huge margin, the Dayton Flyers have played more games against the Big East teams than any other team in the country.

Xavier’s November blow-out of Dayton in Orlando was the 333rd game between the Flyers and a Big East team.

Opponent – No. of Games Played

Xavier - 159 games
DePaul - 69 games
Marquette - 35 games
Butler - 21 games
Creighton – 10 games
St. John’s – 10 games
Seton Hall – 9 games
Villanova – 9 games
Providence – 8 games
Georgetown – 3 games

there is no such category as RPI 11-100. They are 8-7 vs the RPI 100.

Creighton must win 2 games to remain in the top 100......
Marquette must win 4 more games to remain in the top 100...... Out of 7 games to include the BET(and frankly may need 5 wins if they played St John's in the BET).

One thing for Seton Hall- if Georgetown beats Providence tomorrow, Georgetown won't move into the top 50, but PC could easily fall out of the top 50.....

CBS today:
Xavier 2 S
Butler 9 MW
Seton Hall 10 MW
Nova 1 E
Providence 7 E

Wow even Palm has PC dropping to a 7 line now. That's their average spot now. They need to hope they don't fall even further quite frankly....

Butler/Seton Hall a smidge high to me. Not saying they should be in the FF- but I think more like 10/11 is right for them......
