Cheer up about Mullin. Multiple sources reported that Brown. Is coming to SJU specifically because of Mullin. Not only is he a 7 footer - and they don't grow on trees - but he is a top 25 player, and it's equally hard. For rebuilding programs to attract those guys.

That's funny, on 247 composite, he's ranked #84.

And quite frankly, I'm not so sure exactly how a 7 footer means much today. It's a different game than 20-30 years ago. Guards dominate the game, and will continue to dominate the game.

You need big bodies. We don't have any and that's exactly why SJ is off to a terrible start. Having a 7 footer is a matchup nightmare. If you only have guys who are 6'7 or 6'8 they can still be very good but teams are getting bigger guards who are 6'6 which kind of neutralizes the height advantage. With a 7 footer you have to alter your shot or at least think twice driving to the hoop. We need bulk too, no more skinny twigs.
