Even at 7-5 in the conference, I would still say Creighton has a lot of work to do to be in the dance. Should they lose just one more game the rest of the way, they probably would get on the bubble, because of the quality of wins and the road wins that would take. However, I am under no illusion that they will manage that. They could, but they haven't been consistent enough - and are still not shooting very well over the last 6 games or so. We were fortunate to catch X on a bad shooting night. Not everyone will have an off night against us. I expect we would be favored in maybe two of our last 6 games. I think most objective Creighton fans will be pleased with an NIT birth (particularly if that means a home game against anyone other than UNL), and a chance to get some post-season experience for the fellas this year. Failure to get to the NCAA next year will be a major disappointment around here - but that can wait.

By the way, I do like CU playing a little chippy. Brings out the competiveness, I think. I really like the way Macura plays. He is a lot like Grant Gibbs was for us. Smart player, and athletic and talented enough with a knack for sneaking in and making a play you don't suspect. Plays with energy and an edge without the in-your-face brashness. Kind of guy most fans love on their team and opponents love to hate. At least that's the impression I get of him (although maybe not everyone hates him yet, I think they will before he is through playing - but in a good way).

Watson just took over the game in the last few minutes when it looked like X was going to eventually catch up to the Jays. I think it never got closer than 6 in the second half because Watson would make these crazy lay ups on even crazier drives to the basket.

Congrats Jays, hope you guys can make a run.

creighton goes 4-0 here, where are they on the bubble ?

That's a big if for Creighton to go 4-0 with @ Butler and @ Marquette... But if they did that they'd be in the mix.

It certainly is a big if, but Watson could will this team into the top of the bubble

I'd be damn impressed if they pulled that off.

I think they'll win the two home games. Meaning, these next two road games are pivotal for Creightons season. Go 2-0 and all of the sudden they have a chance to hold serve at home and put themselves firmly in discussion for a bid

If Creighton hadn't lost that damn game to LOYOLA (IL), they would very much be in the bubble conversation. They looked solid last night; that Watson guy was a fuggin BEAST

you are correct, but according to Xavier logic, the following statement is true

XU beat no 17 UD by 30, CU beats XU by 16, of course, CU is 46 points better than UD

Creighton is 1-0 vs Dayton in the past 3 years and they haven't met on the court. Scoreboard. #BIGEAST
