Hatred for opposing players & coaches and general smack talking is on the rise on HLOH. Gone is the "we are all in this together as BE brethren" talk. Love it.

SHU fans hate Josh Hart; Nova fans think Macura and Reynolds are punks; SJU fans think Blueitt is a flopper; X fans think Jay Wright rewards dirty play. I guess the BE "family" camaraderie is gone until the tourney when we'll (hopefully) be back pulling for each other.

That's how it 'pose to be. You gotta get the hate going. Its conference season! When the NCAA comes around with gotta switch gears and root for ALL teams

ah yes Gumby, the sweet refrain of intraconference rivalries and good ole hatred... gotta luv it.

Both (escasadoSBU / GumbyDamnit) are correct insofar as when Dancin' time comes we will all be back on the unified front as the BE vs the world, singing: We are Family. Love this conference and its teams.

Doubtful. We have Rashid Gaston (15.5 ppg) and a top recruiting class coming in, plus a large percentage of our scorers back. We should be just as good or better. The T was helpful but we won by 8 on defensive stops. Mullins looked like he was waiting for a bus over there.

But Bluiett IS a flopper. He literally walked into one of our guys after a whistle and acted like the guy just wrecked him with a shoulder. Christian Jones was just standing there!!!

I saw that too. He snapped his head back as he brushed past someone's shoulder. but sometimes you are taught to do that.

I don't root for any one team so that didn't bother me. I'm just giving him credit for how he played.

I thought durand johnson and mvoika were also much more aggressive than how they played in earlier games. st john's will need that rest of the way.

The two of them went a combined 11/30. We need them to shoot but we also need them to take better shots. Think Jones and Sima should get some of those shots.

BTW I didnt read the whole thread but did anyone mention the dunk Reynolds had (who is an absolute monster and my favorite player to watch in the league) a few seconds after one play was dead? I thought that was worthy of a T.

I think the response was because someone posted the SJU fans "think" Blueitt is a flopper. To which he is correcting and saying, no its not that they "think" he's a flopper, he IS a flopper. I haven't seen him quite enough to form an opinion yet, but I did see the one play that is being mentioned when the tech was called on Mussini, and I thought that was kind of embarassing to watch. If that's how he regularly acts, then I think its probably hard to dispute.

Former Friar PG Vincent Council did the head snap back almost every time he brushed by a defender at the top of the key. Was definitely something he was either taught or figured out worked on his own.

Yeah, the Reynolds dunk after the whistle was close to being a tech. It looked as though the ref immediately went over to him and warned him about it. Mussini's tech was legit i thought cuz he slammed the ball and it mustve popped 30 feet in the air.

Yup, Tu Holloway was the same way. Watch Melo Trimble for Marlyland he does it all the time. If the refs are going to call it and give you free points why not do it?
