That was embarrassing. If Radford could hit 50% FT's it wouldn't have gone that long. Lazy defense, guy drove 3 times in OT to the hoop and no help. Georgetown chucking up 3 at end of regulation and OT- take it inside. The announcers were asking why Georgetown didn't press because everytime they did they caused a T.O. Think that is what you see in the NCAA- Thompson doesn't seem to be a great bench coach. Too harsh?

Peak and Copeland seems like they don't even try to play defense.

I told 'hooligan during his overzealous raving of G'town when they played abroad that they would have defensive issues when the bullets started to fly. First game of the season, and that prediction played out. It's still a long way to go, and I'm sure they could improve on the defensive end. But, I have a hunch that'll plague Georgetown throughout the season.

So, with Arizona State, Illinois, Wisconsin and NC State losing, does that make those leagues glorified mid majors.

You must've been waiting all game to post this, you have a pretty good team this year - yet are bashing on a conference board? Lame.

Though, this does hurt the Big Easts reputation going forward.

Huh? Only 2 teams have lost...? So IYHO the league is already in trouble? Wow.

Turned it on right near the end of regulation. Sloppy game but was entertaining. Big shots from Radford. They looked like a veteran team, Georgetown looked like a low to mid major. Dominated on the glass.

I was definitely skeptical of the hype surrounding GTown. But come on...this is unacceptable.

Really disappointing especially considering how many times Radford practically tried to give the game to Georgetown.

Dear admin, I'll give you one more chance. If you remove another post for no other reason than wanting to craft the message for whatever reason, I'll stop posting. Given this board, has so few people that post in the first place, it's only a little mismanagement away from the few just leaving and the site melting away in irrelevance.

But once again, Georgetown at some point needs to be an asset to the league: inevitably your program just is what your results say it is.

I don't think the league has that big a margin for error, so this is the kind of loss the league can't afford too many of.

Last year, Providence and Georgetown were barely top-25 RPI, with Xavier, Butler and St. John's also in the top 40. It doesn't look nearly as good as if those teams start falling out of the top 25 and top 50.

Not to mention, the Big East is always fighting an uphill battle in public perception due to lack of exposure, lack of big-name schools, and lack of highly-ranked teams. Villanova is the only team in the league that is consistently in the polls. Georgetown had a chance to be a 2nd team, but they are probably looking at a 1-3 start now, and that will put them in a hole.
