kind of bizarre paring- I would have thought they would be looking for an Iowa/Virginia final. Maybe they're thinking not much of a difference with the other 3 teams, and hoping Bentil comes back maybe???

Just popped in my head thinking of Xavier vs. Colorado, isn't Josh Fortune on Colorado?

interesting- saw the 2017 Charleston Classic teams released....
Auburn, Dayton, Maryland, Temple, Clemson, ODU, Hofstra, & Indiana State

Kind of interesting with no BE teams. I wonder if BE folks have asked that teams avoid Charleston/Puerto Rico for the Gavitt games.

Xavier will host Lehigh this season. This is a rematch of a 2012 second round tournament game after Lehigh had just upset Duke. Lehigh had current NBA guard CJ McCollum but he was no match for the legend Tu Holloway. Should be a solid buy game for the Muskies though.

Fortunately for you, Memphis has chosen to keep Pastner on for at least one more year.

At least, before Georgia Tech decided to rescue them today!

I thought the same thing. Figured we would get UVA or Iowa first in an effort to get a UVA/Iowa final.

The Memphis roster could implode now with the coaching change. Charlie Moore is opening up his recruitment (Top 100 PG out of Chicago).

maybe. But they couldn't be worse than what they would have been with Pastner. Just was a toxic situation.

been fun seeing Memphis fans clowning Ga Tech fans. Saying this is the one time they are happy that a P5 took one of their coaches.

Some weird hires, Stallings at Pitt and Pastner at GT? Is there a shortage of good coaching candidates out there? Vandy gets Bryce Drew which is probably an upgrade, interesting to see who Memphis can lure....

been some talk about Gregg Marshall going to Memphis. That would be a coup for Memphis. I'll believe it when I see it though.....
