I just think Butler would be extremely precarious w/o beating Seton Hall one of the 2 tries they'll have. If they lost both- beat Marquette- they would be 2-9 vs RPI top 50 teams, and 5-10 vs RPI top 100 teams. With a RPI approaching 60 and a Ken Pom in the 50's most likely.

I use Warren Nolan's RPI which is up to the minute. Not at the start of the day. I just looked at the OFFICIAL NCAA site- and it had Georgetown at 101. So I think I would trust that over ESPN.....
Also gumby- your point about tough teams...
right now Cincy has played 13 top 100 teams
UConn has played 15 top 100 teams
Butler has played 13 top 100 teams

Is this some kind of joke?
So by virtue of G'town being 101 and Marq being 105 it's very convenient for you to exclude them from your little "tough game" data.
TOUGH game to me is vs. an RPI Top 10 team. Butler has 5 of those. UCONN has 1 (if Maryland is still in the Top 10) and both Cincy and Tulsa have ZERO. So please don't peddle your cherry picked #'s to make it seem like UCONN and Cincy have played more truly TOUGH games that Butler has. 5 games against teams 55-88 is not the same as 5 games vs. 1, 5 & 9. The chances of victory vs Top 10 vs. 55-88 is vastly different.

2-0 they're in. Both at home, statistically KenPom has Butler winning both. Think positive Stever

Hall2012 wrote:It was my dumb mistake checking out the X boards after the game, but the lack of respect some people on there have for Seton Hall is pretty disappointing. Certainly not the majority- there were plenty of people who recognized that it's not easy to beat a good team on the road in the Big East- but the people calling the loss unacceptable and saying good teams don't lose that game seem pretty ignorant. I understand frustration in how they lost- they certainly should have expected to be more competitive, but I don't think the fact that they lost was particularly surprising. Even Nova barely escaped the Rock with a 1 point win, and that was prior to SHU's hot streak. If they went back in there now, I'm not so sure they'd escape again.
