Playing an AAC team's going to destroy Nova's RPI? Shit.

Temple - the #1 team in the American, with a .500 OOC record. This stuff writes itself.

Great job by Nova to throttle the Owls, winning the Big 5 championship. They continue to carry and represent the Big East well.

I think I was pretty close to spot on this year with the Butler/Seton Hall/Georgetown double round robin....

I said that if a team goes 3-1 in that, they're going to be safe. 2-2 and in trouble, except for Seton Hall.... who had more wiggle room....

well look at the standings now....
2-0- Butler. They need 2 wins period to make the tourney. 1 should be last game vs Marquette at home. 1 loss should be coming up with Nova. The other 2 games- Seton Hall/Georgetown. Need 1 of those. To go 3-1.
2-1 Seton Hall. They are in really good shape. Just need to beat DePaul/St John's and they're in.....
0-3 Georgetown. Ugh, we were rooting for a team to go 0-4 or 1-3. We found that team.....

Before patting yourself on the back too hard, the bottom line is teams have to win games. So Butler going 2-0 in that stretch isn't the critically significant piece. They could have gone 1-1 and beat X and been in better shape. You get way too caught up in planning out what each team is going to do, that you miss that they simply need to play their way in. Butler needs wins. There are enough good teams in conference, and in turn opportunities, to get them. It's up to them. I think they have the look of a tourney team but they simply need to prove it. Home, away in the BET...wherever...they simply need to put up some good results and they'll be fine.
Go Nova!
