Nova has also made the final four and a bunch of second weekend appearances under Jay Wright, so I guess Nova being Nova means making the dance and sometimes winning games and sometimes losing games and sometimes going to the Final Four. Sounds good to me.

Dave Leitao gets no excuses or free passes. Too much talent on that DePaul team to be losing to Penn State.

Billy Garrett is DePaul's only 4-star type recruit.

I have forgot more about basketball than you know. I have been around a long time and watched a ton of games IN-PERSON. I do know a little bit about the game and coach AAU ball.

Leitao needs time to recruit some players first.

DePaul fans have not made excuses in many years. There has been absolutely nothing to cheer about.

I will tell you something you probably do not know a lot about. Recruiting the Chicago player is very
'dirty'. The only excuse that I give DePaul is that they do NOT play the recruiting game at the highest level to succeed. When they start recruiting better players, then you will know they have started to play the game like many others. I am fairly certain that Jalen Brunson cost Wright a pretty penny.

I expect that to happen soon to start filling the new beautiful facility they will be in a few years from now.

I have all the respect for DePaul fans who have stuck out a terrible decade. And I hope that the McCormic Place helps out and I want DePaul to do well and will continue to watch them and root for them.

But I'm not going to make excuses for Leitao. This DePaul team is good enough to win games. Terrible hire by the school after they rode out the Purnell coaching spot way too long. DePaul isn't going to change their losing ways until/if they get a competent coach. I had hope for DePaul, but today's loss was real bad.
