Who said it was impressive? You make it seem like we're lucky to win 8 games. I say best case scenario is 8th in the league and an NIT invite and you try to say that thats not even possible 2 games into the season. Look at who lost to teams of that caliber. UCLA, Marquette, Georgetown, Virginia, Wisconsin, NC State, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Arizona St and Miss St.

For you to get in the NIT you would need to win at least 17-18 games. If you are 8th in the league, that would be a 6-12 record tops. That would require you to get to 17 wins to win 11 games OOC and in the BET. or 7-11 and 10 games OOC. Considering all that you have left- going to be really tough. And 17-15 would be even bubble on the NIT quite frankly. Also remember in Maui, if they see Chaminade, that won't count as a win to the committee.

Belmont and North Florida who beat MU and Illinois are not "teams of that caliber" they're tournament teams last year that return pretty much everybody. They're head and shoulders above teams like wagner and umbc. Specifically Belmont who is at the level Butler was in the Horizon or Davidson pre A-10 etc. Now if you wanted to say Marquette struggled or nearly lost to a team of that caliber that's fair but belmont is much better than wagner or umbc
NJRedman wrote:MUBoxer wrote:I meant low major schools when I said teams of that caliber. I wouldn't say Belmont is like Butler pre-A10 days. Thats a team who went to back to back national title games. Thats not Belmont.
