well so much for LSU maybe cracking back into the bubble talk- down 35-13 at halftime. Yuck. Michigan down 8 to Purdue at halftime. They're going to be a really interesting case I think. Lunardi earlier today said that in his mind it's down to 5 teams for 3 spots. Michigan, Vandy, South Carolina, St Mary's, and Monmouth.

If LSU and Michigan both lose here- it would mean bid thieves left would be Georgia, Davidson, Memphis, and Tulane. And maybe Fresno if the committee put San Diego St in with a loss.

The big thing will be with Nova can they keep Philly now? Palm indicating not. Lunardi has Nova as the 3rd 1 seed, but having UVA go South(Louisville) and keeping Nova east(Philly). I don't think that would be realistic.

I knew that was going to happen. Mainly because even though it would make the all the sense in the world to have UVa in the South and Nova to be in the east, the committee would have to answer for having giving Nova virtually a home advantage in the regionals with an opportunity to go the FF. I felt the only way that was going to happen is if Nova found a way to be the overall 2nd #1 seed, and I don't think the tournament committee is going to prove me wrong.

It would be nice to go to Philly, but I can deal with going to the Yum Center. First things first is beating Hall.

Yeah, or 3rd 1 seed, with the 2nd 1 seed being like Michigan St maybe. Where it would make more sense to send Michigan State to Louisville than it would Philly.

Depending on how the committee sees things, it may already be too late for Nova. UVA and UNC play each other today. It could be very possible that the winner of that game will be the #2 seed overall, and going to Philly.

The reason why UVA especially would be going to Philly and not Louisville isn't to avoid the home court edge for Nova. It's because Philly is much closer to home for UVA than going to Louisville. UVA to Louisville 494 miles. UVA to Philly- 252 miles. UNC to Philly 406 miles. UNC to Louisville- 538 miles. So I guess in a weird way for Nova fans if you beat Xavier, you need to root for UNC tonight.

Dayton losing to St Joe's by 10... Looking at Lunardi's recent bracket, I think you flip Seton Hall and Dayton now- Seton Hall a 6 seed, Dayton a 7 seed.

I think it really depends on how the committee is....

last years committee, no way are they in....
I think a more traditional committee, Temple probably in. Conference regular season champion. 5 top 50 wins.

Lunardi said he leans towards yes.

Also in a normal year no way.

Unless Palm updated his bracket on Twitter it says this: Nova E #1, Xavier #3 W, SH #6 S, PC #7 E and BU #9 MW(http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology). He has them(Nova) still going out East and he actually has UVa going out West weirdly and MSU going to the South Region.

It would be really interesting if SMU was eligible, how Temple's resume would be viewed. BTW, according to Oklahoma University's AD, they have already voted in 33 of the 36 at large teams and will have it's bracket completed by Saturday Night before they go to bed: Also revealed on Saturday morning: The committee will have its 68-team field determined later Saturday night. Now, there will be contingency brackets -- because either Tulane or Memphis will move on to AAC title game, and neither of those teams has been good enough to warrant at-large consideration -- but general template of 68 teams will be agreed upon before committee members go to bed.

What would hurt more for UCONN/Temple a loss tonight or a possible loss to Tulane tomorrow?

actually it would be viewed the same. Temple won the AAC outright, 1 game over SMU.
