I have so much beef with this effort, but I'm just gonna be happy with the win and see how the BET goes. At least the game was exciting in front of a raucous crowd (for Gtown's standards these days). I continue to be impressed with the job Ewing's doing. Maybe not next year, but I think he's going to build a sustainable winning program eventually.

We got fucked.
1) there was a gellespie 2 in the first half that was called. A 3 the ref marked to go back and check and they never did. 2) that was not goal tending on the last nova basket. 3) Allen got fouled on the last Hoya attempt. Nova pushes off every play. Especially Gillespie.

We need to win Saturday to make it more likely we don't end Andersons run of non losing seasons. We're at .500 right now. Going into the BET a win up is better than going in a win down because even if we beat the Hoyas we're most definitely losing to the 1 seed the next day. Then it's on to the NIT where I think we can pick up a win against a team not ready for our pressure.

I severely doubt they make the NIT.

As of right now I don't think SJU is in the nit, beat Georgetown and it becomes a real possibility, if then a miracle happens on Thursday then the nit is a lock.
Then just need 2 more wins to win the B.E. tourny and make the ncaa tourny. hahaha in fantasy land.

I agree with you on Thursday.

I think short of that, going to be really dicey. They need a lot of chalk in conference tournaments IMO.

Allen wasn't fouled on the final shot.

I thought the ball was in the cylinder on the goaltending. It was very close, but I think it was the right call. I was looking at whether or not the ball was going down or not (which was also extremely close), but on second look, that was irrelevant since it was in the cylinder, or at least it was so close to being in the cylinder that it was impossible to overturn. Definitely a tough way to lose though.
