Crazy as it is, Pitino has come up and not talking about Richard. Probably just made up though lol

‘Chris Mullin is our head coach and we are not looking for another head coach’ - Mike Cragg

And there you have it. Very disappointing.

Cragg made a public statement backing Mullin as coach, but many seem to think it's just PC stuff that doesn't change anything. Or he could be totally honest...we will see tomorrow. One thing is certain: the longer Mullin coaches here, the longer we will suck.

I think what's happening with Mullin is the danger of having a program icon to be your coach. If things go south, it becomes extremely uncomfortable- and a lot of times, you have to stick by them longer than you would otherwise.

I mean, if the coach at St John's right now was Chris Smith instead of Chris Mullin, would he still be the coach at St John's, given everything? I think that's pretty debatable.

Does your AD make a practice of lying in public? Not an advisable way to conduct business. ;)

Tough choices for AD, guy isnt a good coach imo and doesnt seems to put much effort into recruiting but he's a legend. I can understand why he shouldnt get an extension but that also undermines recruiting.

Anyone would be an upgrade over Mullin. This will be interesting because no way can St Johns pay Hurley what ASU can if it gets into a bidding war.
