Those refs should be fired within the hour.

Finally we agree on something.

lol....

what's sad is all 3 refs called games in the NCAA tourney and 1 did a final 4 game(the Nova SF game).

did see this-
Here is the official ruling (via a Big East spokesman): “The official decided it was a timing error. The clock didn’t start on the initial touch by the St. John’s defender on the throw-in.”

Aside from the final sequence, it sounds like Seton Hall was sloppy with possession and struggled shooting the ball for the majority of the game, with SJU's perimeter pressure largely to blame. It's encouraging to see that despite being outplayed for the majority of the game, they had the fight to get themselves back in it over the last 6 or so minutes and give themselves a chance to get that lucky break and steal it.

On the SJU side, it sounds like they're for real. From what I heard, they played a fantastic game for about 34 minutes and I read a lot of comments saying they look way more dangerous with Ponds facilitating than leading the scoring. Unfortunately, they lost their way over the last 6 minutes rather than killing it off, which included missing the front end of two 1-and-1's (apparently the only 2 missed free throws of the second half) in the final minute which set up... you know the rest.

I certainly feel for the Johnny fans here - it's a very tough way to lose. These both look like tourney teams and the rematch at the Garden should be a lot of fun.

One question, why did Mullin just say ok when the ref explained it to him, I would have went George Brett, only I'd make sure I'd get to him.
Could sju protest this game.

I'd hate to lose because the refs says so.

Even if they protested, nothing would happen.

Time to move on to the final stage of acceptance. There's a really important game in a few days.

I'd say as well, you go all George Brett, you are getting T'd up there, and Seton Hall wins at the line. There was literally nothing that Mullin could do there....

The Seton Hall kid made a great shot that will get totally overshadowed by this. And he actually missed the free throw there perfectly as well....

And the kid who hit the game winner subbed in after the refs botched it. Illegal sub- unreal.

No we didn't. We did everything we had to in order to win the game. That game was over when the ball was tipped to Heron. Refs should be fired. They messed it up twice, and they easily could have remedied it by giving the ball to SJU - which they should have done by rule.

I hope they do protest the game, but even if they do nothing will happen.

Has it ever happened in college basketball history where the outcome of a game was changed?

Best case scenario is we get a BS apology.
