The B1G has owned us this year. They are gonna get a lot of teams in the NCAA's this year they're just so strong. It's almost as if we have more rivalries with them than any other league, half the B1G has played 2 big east teams.

Michigan beat Nova and Prov
Indiana beat Marq and Butler
Wisconsin beat X and lost to Marq
Nebraska beat Hall and Creighton
Rutgers lost to Hall and St. John
Illinois lost to Gtown and Xavier
OSU beat Creighton
NW beat DePaul
PSU lost to Depaul
And Maryland will play Seton Hall
Played 10 out of 14 teams and played 6 teams twice.
Wow maybe we should schedule more games with the B1G screw the ACC.

It stands to reason that the other major conference with a shared geographic footprint would play a lot.

Not a great night for the BEast against the F5 but we are still in the driver's seat.

12/21: Providence vs. Texas
12/22: Seton Hall vs. Maryland
Boston College vs. DePaul
12/29: Butler vs. Florida
2/2 : St. John's vs. Duke

vs, ACC: 6-3
vs. B1G: 6-9
vs: SEC: 4-2
vs. XII: 2-2
vs. PAC: 1-0

TOTAL: 19-17

Go Big East!

The BEast goes 2-1 for Friday and Saturday. But more importantly, we clinch another winning record against the F5. Even in a “down” season. We’ve bested them every season so far. Butler on deck tomorrow.

12/29: Butler vs. Florida
2/2 : St. John's vs. Duke

vs, ACC: 6-4
vs. B1G: 7-9
vs: SEC: 4-2
vs. XII: 3-2
vs. PAC: 1-0

TOTAL: 21-18

Go Big East!

Pretty impressive in a "down" year. BTW, does the PAC-12 suck or what?

The thing is, wins against the F5 are actually pretty bad. You really want to lose as many games against them as you can so they don't expect you to be good in the tournament. Wins against the AAC, A10, and MWC are much more important.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I'm gonna have to predict this every year...

Great job by the conference, although I think we underperformed a little vs. lesser conference teams.

Butler drops one to Florida over the weekend as conference play rolls in. One F5 game left one month away. We secure a winning record against the F5 and a winning record against all conferences except the B1G.

12/29: Butler vs. Florida
2/2 : St. John's vs. Duke

vs, ACC: 6-4
vs. B1G: 7-9
vs: SEC: 4-3
vs. XII: 3-2
vs. PAC: 1-0

TOTAL: 21-19

Just one F5 game left tomorrow. Last year, Shamorie Ponds led the Johnnies to a win over #3 Duke at the Garden. Can he and the Johnnies get the repeat at Cameroon? St. John's is the last non-conference team to win a game at Duke - 19 years ago - so let's see how it goes.

2/2 : St. John's vs. Duke

vs, ACC: 6-4
vs. B1G: 7-9
vs: SEC: 4-3
vs. XII: 3-2
vs. PAC: 1-0

TOTAL: 21-19

Go Big East!
