Go on.

Don't be shy.

Congrats but given Depauls track record, until he shows up on campus, I wouldnt be too hopeful....

I thought all of us were latent DePaul fans. Just implying that DePaul should now gain a few more '19 commits to build upon this significant Weems commit. Great start and with a couple others can be the beginning of their turnaround. Go Blue Demons! :D

With all due respect, I'm intimately familiar with DePaul's track record. It's probably five months until the kid decommits. After that, I'm probably gonna watch 90% of the games of a 10-23 season - just like I've done for the past 11 seasons. And then... maybe, MAYBE there could be a coaching change that will probably result in us rehiring Oliver Purnell or some other impossibly stupid move.

So, spare me the lecture on when I'm allowed to be hopeful. Because if I can't be hopeful when a Top 30 kid commits to my hopelessly lost alma mater, then I might as well stop watching college basketball all together.

The kid doing the dunking? His name is Darious Hall. He's pretty good. Averaged 6 ppg as a Freshman at Arkansas. Very athletic, shot 50% from the floor and 40% from 3-point land. Would have been a starter and one of the Razorbacks' best players this year.

He transferred to DePaul. He'll be eligible in 2019.

Also, Jalen Coleman-Lands has two years of eligibility left.

I thought Paul Reed, Jaylen Butz, and Justin Roberts all showed flashes as Freshmen.

If Weems signs, enrolls, and stays at DePaul, they're potentially one or two more pieces from being interesting.

Stay optimistic Demon. When looking at the landscape in the metro Chicago area why not be optimistic about the chances of DePaul turning the corner? The Illini brand has seemed to lose its luster. NWestern and ND are different animals with how they recruit. Mich St and Izzo have their issues it seems. The BE brand is trending up. Why not have the sleeping giant Blue Demons fill the void as the rising program in that market? It just takes one successful class to turn things around. This is a good first step. Now get a friend or two of his and let’s go. I’m pulling for you guys. It would be tremendous to see DePaul rise again.

At long last, some hope and positivity for the Demons. While this is just one step of about 30, it's a step forward nevertheless.

It's a big year for Leitao. He doesn't need to win the Big East to keep his job, but tangible improvement and a showing of competitiveness is definitely required.

Intriguing. I'll certainly be excited to watch what happens with Depaul in 19-20, would be nice to have a rivalry again
