2 teams don't play on Saturday before the Marathon...
Georgetown- hosting Providence 9pm on Monday(PC plays SH noon Saturday)
Creighton- plays at Xavier 2pm on Monday(Xavier plays Butler 2pm Saturday)

Wrong. Creighton has a non-conference home game that Saturday.

So does Georgetown. So there goes that theory.

Georgetown hosts UConn that Saturday....
Creighton hosts Truman St that Saturday...

everyone else has a conference game that Saturday.

Pretty big advantage for Creighton IMO given the opponents.

Takeaways from the Butler Big East basketball schedule:

Network executives have decided which Big East teams deserve the widest exposure. Their verdict? Not the Bulldogs.

Of the appearances on major networks — Fox and CBS — Butler has one: a Jan. 7 game at Georgetown.

Defending NCAA champion Villanova has six, Xavier and Georgetown four each and Creighton two. Butler has the same as Marquette, Providence and Seton Hall. DePaul and St. John’s have none.

.

Great idea Steverrrr. Mac can play all the frosh and the 2 walk-ons, resting the starters.

Thanks.

HoosierPal... It was said earlier that there are 2 open games, so your Bulldogs can possibly snag 2 more network spots when they exceed expectations. I don't recall if those open dates are network or FS1 though?

1 thing that's pretty big is they're sure using FS2 more this year. 20 games I believe total. To me, that's a HUGE thing.

Ratings are gonna suck for those games but its better than ESPN3 and most of those are crappy nonconference games. Not sure what the current subscription base is but I now get it in HD so it must be more accessible.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's just very different. Especially getting 4 conference games.
Dec 28 Seton Hall/Creighton
Feb 1 Marquette/St John's
Mar 4 Providence/St John's(I know it says that or Villanova/Georgetown- but come on!)
Mar 4 likely either of Seton Hall/Butler or Creighton/Marquette(could be Xavier/DePaul- FSN gets the other one- but I think they would give the better game to FS2)

so not really dog games either

Think fox is really smart for trying to start to build up FS2.

I wish Comcast wasn't the worst company in the country and they would actually offer FS2. Pretty amazing that for how much money I pay for the premium sports package that I still can't get FS2 (even in SD). For any other Comcast customers, I would recommend calling 877-824-2288 to request they add FS2 or go to https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/channel-availability-faqs to request the channel. I just did both. Very frustrating.

I get FS2 on my $25 package of Sling TV.
