Demon, I too have a connection into the DePaul Athletic Department, and they've said completely otherwise regarding the BGSr situation - but that's not the point (nor has it ever been the point). Loyal DePaul fans and alumni, like you Demon, need to speak out about and let your voices be heard with regards to the poor basketball situation at DePaul. If this trend continues, DePaul will effectively turn into Loyola-Chicago - which would be a travesty considering what Ray Meyer did for the school and the community for so long. If DePaul struggles with a new arena, under Leitao, at what point is enough enough with administration? I thought enough was enough after the Wainwright and Purnell hires. It has nothing to do with support (as DePaul has shelled out substantial amounts of money for this new stadium and for Purnell, Leitao was nothing extravagant), but rather what they are doing with that support (nothing).

I just hope that DePaul fans are as unhappy as us non-DePaul alums (but Big East and basketball fans), because they have all the potential in the world - they have just repeatedly made poor decisions (based on the results) and things don't look like they'll get much better any time soon.

I'm done with this DePaul topic non-sense. They have struggled and will continue to struggle until a certain AD is replaced. That is all.

Can Big East basketball start already?

DePaul is 5-5 with wins over Western Michigan, Norfolk State, UIC, Chicago State and Drake, Their losses were to Penn State (by 6 points), South Carolina, Florida State, Arkansas-Little Rock (undefeated), and Stanford (by 19 points). They lost the UALR and Stanford games due to huge amounts of turnovers. The new Events Center DePaul will play at starting with the 2017-2018 season and it will be owned by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority it will be in he Prairie Avenue Historic District on the Near South Side of Chicago adjacent to McCormick Place.

On Billy Garrett Jr and saying who would have thought he'd play like this... answer is easy. Everyone SHOULD have because his numbers are pretty much the same as prior years.

12.4ppg, 36.6% - freshman year
12.3ppg, 39.7% - sophomore year
14.2ppg, 40.8% - junior year

I have been called a BG Jr hater. I prefer to say I am a realist. He is a solid player, but the hype for him has been insane for a long while.

Secondly - this team is not void of talent. Is it great talent? No. But let's not act like this is the lowly years where Ayinde Avery was starting.

I guess the main question to ask most DePaul fans is........Is BGJr. "disgusted" with his father for NOT recruiting better players around him?

Unfortunately, BGSr. has a huge excuse. No one wanted to come play for Purnell and that is the guy he had to recruit for.

BGJr. is a solid player.

What was the point of this post lol

Freshjive2103: I think people were hoping he'd take the jump to big star. Cleveland melvin jumped and was one of the leading scorers in the BE by now. I think people were hoping BGJ would do the same only as a PG be able to support the team better.

As we saw against GW this team has plenty of talent. They just need a real coach.

Real sad to see what Dave Leitao has done to the chicago franchise. we all deserved better. It is sadder to see when "fans" like DeamonLS bash the kids instead of pointing the finger in the real problem.

Real happy to see depaul win last night. Great win for the kids.

Can someone please "disconnect" NovaBall from this fan site? He is losing it. He continues to make up stories.

Oh, BTW...enjoyed being at the DePaul win last night.
