Kayack, that's why Cuse stopped playing us. We lost to them for years and then we finally beat them 3 times in a row. They saw no upside in it anymore and pulled out.

Why am I not surprised that Big East "superfan" stever is posting to this thread. Here is what he is saying on the other board: https://csnbbs.com/thread-851385-post-15754215.html#pid15754215.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

the problem if you will with that is if they lose 8-10 games, they're going to be only a 7-10 seed. With a brutal 2nd round game. kind of where several Big East teams have been in recent years.

What's the problem with that??? That's the type of seed this Nova team probably deserves. It'd actually be pretty nice to the dangerous underdog for once after all these years of being the heavy favorite with tremendous pressure. Cinderella runs are great, I miss them. Someone else can carry the burden of spearheading the BE tourney resume, frankly it's about time.

Funniest part is his antics have the exact opposite effect of what he's trying to achieve. All he does is rally us together. He gets us more engaged, more invested in BE games. He is helping the league far more than most of us on here. To be frank, I'm not sure if this forum would've taken off without him.

Since I do YouTube, I know for a fact that having a LITTLE controversy in the community is necessary and helps skyrocket certain videos. Look no further than the #1 subscribed YouTuber, PewDiePie. Of course, having too many Stevers/negativity is never a good thing and has the opposite effect. Always in moderation. Fortunately we just have the one and he posts enough to keep things interesting.

Thank you Stever for your support. ;)

I'm not gonna kill the kid for thinking he's being screwed over. He's buried in the bench behind guys who are getting clowned by Furman and Penn players.

Nova nation's in a meltdown mode, but yeah I agree that the season isn't lost. Kansas game is going to tell us a lot about the team's character. Next year's class? I'm not so sure. The balance is weird with Antoine & Moore and JRE & Dixon playing same positions. Wouldn't surprise me if at least 2 or more of those players get in Jay's doghouse and never see playing time. Oh, and unless this JQ issue is completely overblown, I have to watch Gillespie try valiantly but utterly fail at initiating offense again.

I'll just reply to you here Stever

I'll say this- if Quinerly doesn't work out- it's going to put a ton of pressure on Wright next year to have Antoine and Robinson-Earl pan out- or we might not see Nova getting those 5 star guys any longer.....

Small pressure maybe, but a ton is an exaggeration and wishful thinking on your part. Quinerly, as well as Brunson and Spellman were ranked in the 20s, hardly guaranteed college BB studs. I hope Jay learns from this, because if JQ got even 10 minutes a game, none of this happens and he'd be blameless even if JQ transfers out.

I agree. I think Nova will be more than fine. I think Jay has to figure out the right combo of players and I'm sure he'll have a plan in place by the time Big East season is in full swing. I absolutely believe they will be a dangerous team by February/March.
