Impressed by SJU so far. Lovett and Ponds are gonna be very good guards and they got some great shot blockers. I can see Creighton having problems with them if we aren't hitting our 3's. Competing with MSU (even though MSU isn't vintage MSU).

Johnnies are much better than last year, but there's still plenty of work to do. While loVett and Ponds have been as good as advertised (or better) the bigs have been a huge disappointment so far. Out of Sima, Owens and Yakwe, none of them can finish when they get the ball down low, rebounding leaves a lot to be desired ( Lovett nearly outrebounded the three of them combined tonight, losing by 2 (9-7), and outside of the blocked shots, they're all shaky defensively. Hopefully when 7 footer Zach Brown arrives next year the front court game will improve. While the team is much better, it's still likely to be a long season once conference play starts. We'll probably get an upset or two along the way, but I still think we're a year away from being a good team.

It's funny how everyone is excited that Depaul beat MISSOURI STATE. Nice win for them though, 2-2 makes this day ok for the Big East.
