And just on time got some new JP Quotes from media day lol.

Does it bother you that the other Big East teams hate you?
"Yea, it doesn't really bother bother me at all. I just care about this place, I don't care about the other schools..."

Who do you see as the BE Rival?
"Butler, they yell at me the most. If they continue to yell its only going to help. I don't really care about those people anyways."

Who is the best non-Xavier player?
"uhhhh, I don't know, i can't think of anybody."
Xavier

Providence?

I don't see it now for PC or in the last 15+ years.

From around 92-97 they fielded some tough teams

The 92/93/94 era had front court players like Michael Smith, Eric Williams, Marques Bragg, Dicky Simpkins and Troy Brown. Not Bad Boys, but big, strong and physical guys who played with an edge (okay, I wouldn't say Simpkins played with an edge).

The 97 team was definitely tough and edgy: Ruben Garces and New Yorkers Derrick Brown, Jamel Thomas, Corey Wright and Shammgod.

I wouldn't vote for them as bad boys, but those are the tough PC teams I remember since the early 90s.

When Barnes came in we were sick and tired of being bullied by the Hoyas. Barnes did something about it. He built some bad ass tough rebounding teams. Michael Smith led the BE in rebounding every year, He still has many records, and he was all of 6'6" tops. There was a reason why he was known as The Animal. I would love it if PC got back to being the badass of the BE but right now that's Xavier to me. They are just tough.

Anyone else think this thread is really weird?
