Someone was asking about rivalries forming and I think we might have one starting to heat up here...

Didn't McDermott see what was going on? Why did he let his team leave the shooters wide open? A simple man defense would have made this a better game. No reason to jam the lane.

A couple of trolls on holy land of hoops after a win does not make a rivalry.

CU is still a game up with four to play. CU will be favored to win two. Butler will be favored in two of its remaining games most likely. Which means you have to hope for CU to stumble in a game it should win or you are going to have to upset someone. Further CU's win over X gives us the tiebreaker over Butler, so we are essentially two up with four to play.

Depending on tomorrow's outcomes, could be one game separating third through seventh with four to go. Going to be a fun finish.

Except that Butler wins 2 and Creighton wins 2. Butler goes to the NCAA tourney. Creighton has to win probably the BET to make the tourney. The Goal isn't to finish higher in the conference, it's to make the NCAA tourney.

Once again. We won't care if our name is called on SS and Creighton's isn't.

This is an irrelevant comment. There are three 'buckets' in the Big East standings. Bucket 1 is closed. Villanova and Xavier will finish 1 and 2. Bucket three you want to avoid. That is 7-10, and you get the extra tourney game. The remaining bucket is 3 - 6. And it really doesn't matter where you finish in that bucket. You play a tourney game that both teams are capable of winning. You might be better off finishing 6th than 4th depending on the matchup. I would much rather match up against Creighton than Providence in the BET. If you finish 3rd, I'll take 6th.

Great game, looked like two tourney teams fighting and scratching to break a bubble. I used to hate Dunham until I saw the FoxSports1 documentary on him, seems like a real good guy, he was clutch (now I hate Etherington :D jk) Hopefully this gets Butler back in the brackets. CU's got a big hill to climb now.

... and yes, I think Butler and X are natural friendly rivals for Creighton, with X it's been that way since the Korver-West years, and now with Butler being that we're all the "newbies."

Yes. Plus BU and CU have more in common than most people realize.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Dear God, why would anyone go to an opponent's board when we have the neutral Holy Land?
They're all just cesspools of complaining and hate - and I say this as a complainer who posts on the Butler board and definitely hates some teams.

Question goes out to Butler fans. What holds up Butler for sellout at 9,100 during the work week?
