So, no different than any other message board when their team gets beat.

With a child rape reference thrown in for good measure.

And a sub 100 RPI(#110). Sub 100 RPI=bad loss.

You guys shouldn't be sub 100 RPI with your record, but because you guys decided to play what is #282 right now OOC SOS, your 11-2 OOC record means pretty much nothing. Also you guys lost to DePaul.
Again, we all know that, but still.....your missing the point. Your all numbers and has nothing to do with the other's guy original post. Bigtime difference plus 100 or over 200 in the RPI.

big difference from losing to a 100'ish Marquette or losing to 200+ St. John's.

I'd give you St John's- but Marquette, DePaul right now would be on the same column in the report that the committee gets. It's 101-200.

And even St John's if they can get a win or 2 could be in the 101-200 range quite frankly.

Still, a huge difference. Plus, we don't what the committee all views.

actually we do. the NCAA published team sheets last year. It's broken down into 4 columns. Top 50, 51-100, 101-200, and 201 up.

Here they are from last year.
http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/MBB_RPI/MBBTeam.pdf

and looking right now at Butlers thing right now, there would be no gap at all between Marquette and DePaul.

The bottom line right now, Marquette is just as bad of a loss as DePaul is. Unless Marquette can go from looks of things 4-5 rest of the way, that's going to be the case. Plus, Marquettes tougher half of the season in conference play is still to come.

No one should be losing to Marquette, St. Johns, and DePaul a this point because the truth is that unless Marquette wins the rest of the way it wont be seen as an acceptable loss... They are way outside of the bubble.
Well, Marquette has been a winning program that went to three straight Sweet 16's and was a game away from the Final Four in 2013. Yes, things are down, but there was 16,000 of pride in the Bradley Center with young players maybe finally seeing the light.

Oh trust me. I respect Marquette more than anyone here. A great program... and no one more than I want them to bounce back. But truth is that this year their RPI is weak due to terrible scheduling and I think is too late for them to get back in the bubble unless they go on a great run. So right now all MU is doing is spoiling bids just like the Johnies and the Blue Demons and that's what I meant to say in my Original post.

Not intending to trash Marquette and their fan base at all. I just want the league to get the most bids possible right now. Marquette playing spoiler is not helping our case. The top 7 RPI teams need to win against the bottom 3. Don't hate me for it. Hopefully MU can go back to their winning ways next year, it surely looks like they have the talent.

I hear you! I know now it wasn't no disrespect. I totally want the best for the Big East Conference, FS1, CBSSN.

The national view on the Big East right or wrong will be in how far Villanova and Xavier go in the NCAA Tournament.

well going into tonight- here's where teams stand in my mind in terms of how many more wins they need....
Nova- win tomorrow and they are a lock....
Xavier lock
PC win 2 more and a lock.
(when I say lock I mean they could lose out and still make the tourney).

then....
Georgetown 5 wins
Seton Hall 6 wins
Butler I really want to say 5 wins, but I think it's closer to 6 quite frankly.
Marquette 7 wins
Creighton 7 wins
DePaul, St Johns 4 wins(in BET)

tonight Georgetown, Seton Hall/Creighton could take huge step to make tourney.
