Nice win by Creighton. Luckily our poor FT shooting didn't burn us at the end.

Great W for Creighton. Now that Creighton has the W, here's hoping Butler gets things figured out and starts beating the teams that have no shot at the tourney (or else even Butler after a tremendous non-conference slate will be worried about sitting on the wrong side of the bubble)

The 'Dawgs are in bubble city right now. Bad RPI loss.

Their rpi went from 44 to 46. Creighton's rpi is 87 so it's not really a bad loss. Butler's early schedule was tough so as long as they dont lose to the Marquette's, Depauls and SJU's, they should be ok.

Missing Lewis really hurt us tonight, but we've been reeling since the 1st Providence game in the second half. Got back on our heels and haven't been the same since. (Very strange for a Butler team, but we haven't been mentally tough since then.)
Congrats on the win Creighton.
Lets go Dawgs!

Tonight's win over Butler removes some of the sting from our two close losses to them last year. Nice job, Jays!
I think Butler will get better from here. Their schedule gets easier. They will finish 10-8 in BE play and make the tourney.
Creighton has a tough three game stretch...Gtown, SH and Villanova. I think we'll take some damage and slip in the standings, but a 10-8 or 11-7 BE record is still possible. That wouldn't be bad for a team picked 9th.

Go Bluejays!

Butler's schedule does get easier- but they are kind of close to no margin for error....

probably need to go 9-9 in conference to be a lock.

right now 2-5...
2 left with DePaul, St Johns
2 left with Xavier, Villanova

so 4-7 if form holds there..... 5-2 left.....
the other 7 games are
@ Marquette
Georgetown
@ Seton Hall
Creighton
@ Georgetown
Seton Hall
Marquette

would need to win all 4 home games and then win 1 of those road games. @ Marquette next Saturday seems the easiest of the 3.

For Creighton- need 6 more wins. Still have home left with St Johns and DePaul. So need 4 there. Have left
@ Georgetown
Seton Hall
@ Villanova
Xavier
@ Marquette
@ Butler
Marquette
@ Providence
@ Xavier

6 road games there. Will need at least 1 there, if they can take all 3 of Seton Hall, Xavier, and Marquette. Or a 2nd if they lose to Xavier. Seems VERY reasonable, no?

I think Creighton needs 7 more, honestly, though that counts MSG too.

I think it depends on who we beat. We have 3 games left versus Villanova and Xavier. If one of the wins is against either of those teams, we probably only need 11 Big East wins. If not, then we'll probably need 12 Big East wins.

I just have a tough time thinking that a team with 11 Big East wins gets left out though. Even if you did the worst possible collection of wins- Seton Hall, Marquette, @ Marquette, the 4th win being one of @ Georgetown, Butler, Providence would be a pretty good win there.

Especially with how good the KP rating is for Creighton right now. They're up to #33.
