So are you saying Tulsa won't be moving into the Top 50 now....

Yikes. Just when u think things r going well this happens

You think East Carolina beating Memphis AT Memphis was good for the American?

Or Temple sweeping UC?

Not sure where you would suggest that "things were going well" for your conference before tonight.

ECU/Memphis really didn't matter because Memphis wasn't/isn't going anywhere at all.

Temple going into tonight was #70 in the RPI. They were a win or two away from getting in the top 50.... While it dinged Cincy, Cincy is still #70 right now, and if they can do enough down the stretch will make it fairly easily.

Even now- Tulsa is only #61 in the RPI and #66 in Ken Pom. The conference has 3 teams in the top 70 RPI right now, with UConn and Cincy both in the top 33 in Ken Pom.

I watched about 2 minutes of that Tulsa-Houston game and there must have been about 15 people in the stands. I doubt they were there to watch the game.

In what alternative universe is appearing in the Top 70 of the RPI some kind of automatic bid? I believe that there are only 36 non-automatic bids and usually you had better be solidly in the Top 45 of the RPI to have a decent chance for a selection. 70 May as well be 100. CIncinnati is in huge trouble with tough (semi-tough, it is the AAAAAAAAAAAAAC) games ahead.

Love the way the "qualifications" seem to change when AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAC teams keep puking on the bed.

the Big East has 7 teams in kenpoms top 50 and 6 teams in the rpi top 70. So by your standards the Big East should get 6 or 7 teams in to the tourney.

If you are in the RPI top 70 right now, you are in contention. So right now the AAC has 3 teams in contention for at larges and the Big East has 6. Things have got to play out for any of those.

To put in perspective. Right now- Butler 59, Tulsa 61, UConn 63. But I don't see ANYONE on here saying that Butler doesn't have a shot now do I?

I'm a realist and the AAC just isn't getting it done right now. If SMU were eligible it wouldn't be the disaster it looks like right now and we'd have a team that could potentially play deep into March. But they aren't so we'll just see what happens.

The Memphis fanbase must be getting tired of Josh Pastner at this point. Wonder if it's his last year there.

It has to be, he's driving that program into the ground.
