Just load up Twitter and everywhere that you should be 22-11. Don't go completely unhinged, but make sure you push this message non-stop. This would be a great assignment for MullinMayhem.

Also, NC State is horrible. Their non-conference schedule is ridiculously bad. And they suck.

St. John's is the last team to gripe about anyone else's horrible non-conf schedule. That gains them nothing. Bad reffing happens all across the country in every game on every night.

Bottom line is SJU controlled their own destiny and they tried real hard to blow it.

Forget about last night. Marquette is a Top-20 team. No biggie. As Hall2012 pointed out, St John's game-to-game is a roller coaster ride.

You guys are a tourney team. NC State got their asses handed to them yesterday too, and they're not apologizing for shit. In fact, they have ESPN campaigning for them.

This is the point of the season to forget about SJU sucking yesterday, and campaign to make sure you get an NCAA bid and stay out of Dayton. Think less like a Mets fan, and more like Yankee... (arrogant, entitled, etc). Repeat after me: "The Johnnies got screwed at Seton Hall!!!"

I am a Yankee fan and that's why I can see just how poorly run the SJU program is. They're running in place and not getting better. I wish we could forget about last night but unfortunately the committee won't. LIke I said they'll probably just barely get in and play in Dayton next week and get their doors blown off. So much for dancing.

There is very little chance St John's if they make it stays out of Dayton. Especially with that final performance- at home none the less.

Until St. John's stops being Transfer U, and stops focusing on the JUCOs and the transfers, I don't care who your coach is, you will never build a successful program. It needs to stop. Even on redmen.com there is a committed thread to transfers. It drives me crazy. Why is it so hard for people to see this has NOT worked for you. Until you focus on bringing kids right out of high school who are going to buy in and stick around you will never be consistent. This is where it starts. No coach, no matter how good, can have long-term success in this type of system. Rooting hard for the Johnnies but not expecting anything than a decent year from them every 3 or 4 years.

I agree with all that's being said here.

However, in this narrow 48 hour period, forget the problems at SJU and focus on one thing---> getting them in the NCAA's and try to avoid Dayton, to help SJU and the Big East. So today, tomorrow, and Sunday, all i know is that St John's has Final Four capability and they should be 22-11... and then Monday and the other 361 days of the year we can trash Mullin etc if you'd like.

Edit: i know 2019 has 365 days. I'm subtracting out today, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday based on my spiel above.

Honestly, we still need to see how the bubble ends up, but St. John's simply isn't a good team and may not be worthy of a bid.

Our advanced metrics are AWFUL. If we do get a bid, we will have the worst advanced metrics of any at large team. Our points differential in Big East play is brutal, and that has tanked our NET. To be honest, we got extremely lucky to get out of BE play at 8-10/1-1. Going by point differential, we should have roughly 7 wins rather than 9. If we lost just one or two of those close games, we would be out of the discussion. 3-0 in OT says it all.

That said, I am a believer that whether you win or lose is by far most important. Overall, St. John's has done a good enough job at that.

The advanced metrics this year are a warning sign that changes need to be made with our staff, but for now we'll just focus on this year and Selection Sunday.

You were actually right at first...

2019- 365 days. take out 3 days to not bash Mullin etc (today, tomorrow, and Sunday) and your statement of Monday and the other 361 days of the year is 100% correct- not sure you edited that or not.....

lol....

I just don't see a way St John's if they make it avoids Dayton. Their metrics are awful.

Hate to be too much of a conspiracy theorist but I wonder how much the NYC market plays into this. I find it really hard to believe that some CBS Exec isn't looking at the biggest market in the country and secretly (or not so secretly) hoping that NYC gets it's local team in. It's gotta help, no?

St John's can't have what just happened in Brooklyn- where VCU's best player got hurt.... VCU would still get in safely ahead of St John's, and there would be an A10 bid thief who gets auto bid and takes out an at large selection. Making it that much tougher for St John's to avoid Dayton.
