You're correct, they do pretty well. 8 out of 18 at-large First Four winners went on to win their next game. That's pretty ridiculous considering it's always 6v11 or 5v12. And half of those 8 teams made at least the Sweet 16. The best run was 2011 VCU's Final Four appearance.

Big East specifically, 2014 Xavier, 2017 Providence, and 2019 SJU all lost in Dayton. Unless I'm mistaken, 2012 South Florida is the only Big East team to get out of Dayton with a win.

And USF won the game.

Providence seems ticketed for the 8-10 range.

definitely a great night for Xavier so far with NC State going down. Texas Tech losing would be really big as well for them...

Man, if Rutgers and Texas Tech lose their remaining games, how nervous should they be entering conference tournament despite NET of 20s and 30s?

For Rutgers, I don't think they have a chance. They have won exactly once away from home.

For Texas Tech, it'd be nervous time for sure. Not sure how much losing to Baylor, Kansas, and then QF in B12 tourney would drop them.... They have 5 wins away from home.

good job by Rutgers tonight. Beating Maryland should get them in to the tourney. Whether its at home or away... I don't think it will matter. They are doing really well this year and deserving

Yeah, I think the Maryland win pretty much clinches it... Their seeding will suffer with only 1 win away from home, but they'll be in.

Agreed. Too many good wins despite only @ game being Nebraska.

But I gotta say, the worst f---ing shit about this season is having to listen to SO MUCH B1G talk. I've basically tuned out of all the podcasts this season. I wish all their teams bomb out of the first round. Yeah they're deep, but I couldn't give a f---ing shit about that boring as f--- conference. Give me the ACC any day over that shit.
