They won their previous game by 58. This loss is probably the best thing that could happen to them going into the tournament. I imagine that Few will have a hart to heart with them about this game.

Yes, Omaha, I imagine this will drop them to the 2 line. The question is, does the committee bump the PAC 12 champ up to a 1 seed or do they move North Carolina or Villanova out west?

Final question. Does this hurt Gonzaga's chances of getting into the Big East?

Wow, yeah, Gonzaga's recent wins have been by 58, 21, 35, 10 (at St Mary’s), 30, 35, 10 (at BYU), 47, 36...

When I saw the San Diego score last week, I thought it was a sign of the Zags' dominance. Sort of like the UConn women. That is until I noticed that St Mary's had beaten them by 44, holding them to 27 points, an even lower point total than Gonzaga had held them to. Funny thing is that BYU had only beaten USD by 12 and by 13. So much for the transitive properties of scoring margin.

Having pointed out some embarrassing facts about the University of San Diego, I feel compelled to say something nice about them. It is hands down the most beautiful college campus I have ever seen. A drop dead, gorgeous place to spend 4 years. And the funny thing is that's where Kyron Cartwright might have spent his college career had Providence not stepped in late in the recruiting process when he was released from his letter of intent by Loyola-Marymount.

Cincinnati lost to UCF on a missed dunk in the closing seconds. Wisconsin lost at Michigan State. I watched the SMU/UCONN game Saturday...SMU actually looked pretty good.

Ugh! Another Wisconsin loss. Not good for BE teams.

ACC won't reach 11 with Georgia Tech out. Good.

I wouldn't be so sure. If Clemson beats Duke tomorrow, they have a real shot. Last time at Duke Duke won 64-62. So wouldn't be the shocker at all.

Gonzaga won the WCC tournament, finishing their season with 1 loss. St Mary's made a run at them in the 2nd half, but just didn't have enough.

My prediction is if Zags are a No. 1, they will be the first No. 1 knocked out. Possibly by an 8/9 winner, or at very least by a 4 or 5
