I remember when the league was re forming, Georgetown was the crown jewel and Villanova was a bit of an also ran at that point. We’re not even that.

Quotes from the Hoyas board:

“We shot 38% from the field and 16% from three. We had six assists and eight turnovers. Sorry to be a downer but let’s face facts.”

To be fair, we turned over CU a considerable amount more.

“ Personally, I’d rather not see Georgetown’s name pop up when they list Miami and DePaul as the winless Big East teams…”

“ “Holding a team without a FG for the last 8 minutes and forcing 19 turnovers and still losing by 11 is something only a Patrick Ewing team could pull off. Hats off to them.”

Georgetown demands excellence from its applicants and students. We used to demand the same from the multimillion dollar enterprise known as Georgetown basketball. But that stopped happening nearly three decades ago.

Everyone is hoping and praying St John’s, DePaul and Georgetown get back. It’s really sad and frustrating for the whole league. All made similar mistakes: hiring duds to follow legendary coaches.

No, my amigo...not EVERYONE. Somebody has to dwell in the cellar. Better them than us. Nothing personal, but I'd like to see Nova join DePaul, Georgetown, and maybe
the Jerseyites in the cellar. It's a tough job but someone other than Lil Cr8n has to do it.
