Looking like a 5 bid league. No one else stepping up.

Ugly game. Lots of bone headed decisions on both sides. Take the W and run.

It's almost to the point where I "couldn't have drawn it up better" in the league getting 5 bids. enough separation- but with the bottom teams losing just enough to each other where none of them are in good shape...

I think St John's probably has the best shot needing 5 wins to have at least a shot- and favored in 3 of them. I think they probably get to 16-10 but the last 5 games are brutal.

Turned the game on with about 10 minutes left. Some ugly basketball yet a captivating game to watch. To me, X gave this one away. Sorry someone had to win this one. (At least it fealt that way.)

I'm just hoping Howard is ok. Hopefully we hear an update soon.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

the one thing that works for Marquette should he be out a bit- Marquette is entering a stretch where between now and Feb 17, they only play 3 games. Saturday, the following Sunday, and then 2 weeks from tonight. If they can beat DePaul on Saturday at home w/o him, they don't play again until a week from Sunday.

We corrected our woeful 3 pt. shooting...and decided to forget how to make a foul shot.

Disappointing for sure.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

11-23 from 3
11-25 from ft line

although for season
30.5% from 3 #296
66.1% from ft line #300 (63.3% from line in conference play)

so it's not like free throw shooting hasn't been an issue this season.

I couldn't have drawn it up better to get the Big East the best seeds possible. Remember, bids are great, but each win in the tourney is equivalent to a "bid". With the Big East having a round-robin and a solid non-conference there were really only two possibilities. Lots of bids with weaker seeds or less bids with stronger seeds. So win win.
