This is why it is so hard to pick St John's to win the conference. They just shoot themselves in the foot over and over.

In his defense, there are players on this team like #14 who shrink when the game is turning into the oppositions favor. I’m tired of the team running plays and sets in the first half and then abandoning it when the game is in crunch time. Georgetown we did a tremendous job down the stretch running plays, when it mattered, and tonight it just goes out the window

Not sure a hard fought loss on the home court of one of the top teams in conference is SJU shooting themselves in the foot. Two evenly matched teams. I think Paschall and Booth just willed Nova to the win tonight. It was a fun regular season BE slugfest. I don't think it is that hard to pick SJU as a favorite to win the conference. They have the talent to be scary good when they are on.

2 big factors were Nova's rebounding advantage and St. John's running out of gas.

The similarities between the way St. John’s lost to seton hall and nova are scary. Just folded down the stretch and stopped moving the ball. Don’t know why Mullin didn’t use Williams Jr tonight. We needed to get him 15 minutes so Ponds could be fresh for the end. Either way, I’m mad about how we lost tonight because the game was right there and we had the lead the whole night, but at the same time we have only played one conference home game so we can definitely make up some ground in the standings now

Very similar to the Seton Hall game for St. John's - they controlled the majority of it but ran out of gas. The lack of depth may prove to be their achilles heel.

Nova inexperienced this year, sure. But they still have pieces from the title run that makes them dangerous. They know how to win important games more than anyone
