it amazes me how folks want to use labels so much to say Cincy is a mid major team, when they the next breath despise folks using the P5 label. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Bottom line, Xavier beating Cincy would be a damn good win. May very well be a top 20 win by the end of the year.

I have to agree with Stever on this one. I mean c'mon... When I saw the original comment I shook my head. Who thinks Cincy is a mid-major? thats insulting to quality of that program and its a cheap shot from fans that are also struggling with the perception of their league

First post here, long time lurker. To add to the whole UC being a mid major. I mean they are in a mid major league, but they are in no way a mid major team. They remind me of X in the A-10. Major program in a crappy league. I used to hate when people acted like X was a mid major because of our league, even though we out performed most the big boys.

To add, Colorado is a solid team, and should be a good win by the end of the year, as I anticipate they will make the tourney. X has a heck of a schedule, makes you wonder what teams like Duke would if they actually played true road games against solid teams.

I guess I shoulda made it clear it was just a dig at Cincinnati for the conference. I like to call them a mid major now since their fans would always call Xavier a mid major because of the league Xavier was in... so when the tables turned I took advantage of it

Believe me, I totally understand the whole UC and XU thing. I grew up watching X and UC durring those years. TBH, I wish UC still had those teams, fan support has dwindled since the Hugg years. But love the fact where X has positioned themselves today. Big game here for our boys, we dont want to drop two games in a row. Im really hoping to see Gaston tonight, I have a feeling he will have a chip on his shoulder. Im expecting atleast 10 and 8 for him tonight. If we could get that out of him we would be in a great place the end of the year. Go X!
