I think this is a very moronic statement. The conference will be at least as good as it was this year. The only one that will regress IMO is PC- losing Dunn will hurt big time. But the others aren't going anywhere- and DePaul will likely be improved. IT might not be the Big 12- but it won't be the AAC either.

lol. I'm still here. I just think it's pretty dumb to act like the conference is going to fall apart here. If anything, I expect next year to be better. Creighton, Marquette won't schedule as badly, which will help the numbers up quite a bit. Georgetown just from inertia won't be as bad as we were this year. That helps counteract the downturn likely to come from PC. Only one that could be down as well IMO is Butler finally losing Jones along with Dunham.

Creighton will be a tournament team next year. Georgetown and Marquette who knows. DePaul won't be good. Butler loses a lot and so does providence (most likely).


Of course the conference is still good, but all I'm saying is it's not like it's gonna be so good that St. John's getting 15 wins can not be fathomed as a poster suggested

DePaul won't be worse than they are this year, and will likely be better.... Creighton and Marquette with scheduling better will be better.

With St John's to get 15 wins- they would need to get around 9 OOC. With the tourney they're in, and then add to that I'm guessing Syracuse- that's pretty tough already. 6 in conference is possible- but no lock.

I agree they have a long way to go. "Free throws" is a ridiculous excuse as St. John's has gotten smashed in most of their losses, and it's won more games by 1-4 pts (Niagara, Rutgers) than it's lost (Seton Hall). In the Rutgers game, SJU won by 2 and Rutgers shot 5-14 from the line.

Yes, the Big East right now is Nova, Xavier and everyone else, but there are still tiers. Nova and Xavier are on one tier. St. John's and DePaul are on their own tier, too, behind everyone else. And for as young as St. John's is, they also lose Johnson, Mvouika and Balamou, who are 2nd, 3rd and 6th in minutes played. None are particularly efficient, but no one on St. John's is playing efficiently.

I see 6 conference wins as a ceiling for St. John's next season. If they don't get Maker or Alkins, it's more likely that they win 3-4 games than 6.

St. John's will be an even younger team next season, and I don't really see one-and-done guys.
