I don't know what the opposite of COY is, but JTIII would win it hands down this year. How far they've fallen. Pre-season top 2/3 pick in the BEast and as of right now they are the #8 seed in the conf tourney.

Too bad. I hope he can turns things around next year and beyond. I believe that a strong G'Town is good for the BEast.

Hoya fans: what happened this year? Any issues of poor chemistry or players being unhappy? System doesn't fit the players/players don't buy into the system? Rumors of any undergrads leaving the program? How does next year's recruiting class look?

How much credit should Willard get for Seton Hall out performing their expectations when the only reason the expectations were where they were was because of his inability to coach and keep his team together? Coach of the year because you kept your team from collapsing this year and are no longer on the hot seat?

Here is what I'll say about coach of the year, did you squeeze more out of your guys than could be expected of any other coach in the league? Would Jay Wright or Chris Mack be able to steer Seton Hall to this point? I think so. Would Willard be able to get Villanova and Xavier's rosters into the top 10 and stay there throughout most of the year? Meh.

Is that really fair to say? A large part of the reason for the low expectations was the loss of 2 key players- Gibbs and Sina. Especially in the case of Gibbs, everyone considered that to be a major loss, not addition by subtraction. Also, Wright and Mack have had a lot more to work with this year than Willard. Do you actually think Seton Hall has more talent than Nova and X? Because they have a heck of a lot less experience. Seton Hall has had 86% of their minutes so far played by freshman and sophomores. For comparison's sake Xavier is at 53% and Nova's at 35%. Both of those teams also have significant contributions from multiple seniors. Willard only has 1 senior on his roster in Gordon and it's his 1st/only year on the team. It's not like his job was easy.
