Not you, you've been great. But there was a Cincinnati fan that appeared here a month ago to talk trash, so he pissed a lot of us off. He vanished after they lost to Butler. Also, the csnbbs AAC site was in attack mode 24-7 against the Big East, and that also pissed a lot of us off too.

30 American losses have been by under 10 points. <--- wow.
10 American losses have been by 3 or fewer points.
8 American losses have been by more than 15 points.
18 American losses have been vs teams in weak conferences (one-bid conferences).
The 10 team Big East has 29 total losses.
12 Big East losses have been by under 10 points.
7 Big East losses have been by 3 or fewer points (or OT).
10 Big East losses have been by more than 15 points.
9 Big East losses have been vs team in weak conferences (one-bid conferences).
The AAC has dropped a ton of single digit games.
2/3 of their losses are under 10 points.
The problem is really the weak teams that they've lost to... Alabama A&M, Southern, Boston U Terriers, Grand Canyon, James Madison, Delaware, Troy, Oral Roberts... that's the real killer for them... this doesn't count Little Rock, NJIT, Detroit Mercy, UAB and Mercer, who are at least solid.
The Big East weak team losses are really just Radford, Asheville and Incarnate Word... this doesn't count the solid teams of Little Rock, NJIT, Loyola Chicago, Belmont, Monmouth and Long Beach.

The same lens that sees UC better than its record because of its close losses certainly can be used to view Gtown differently a. @MD, Radford etc were all winnable games. Only the Monmouth game got away from them. We could be talking about 6-7 bids instead of 5-6.
Last year the AAC was a two bid conference. This year should be much of the same. Underwhelming. And celebrating when your 300+ RPI team is better than last year is pathetic actually. If the AAC is going to be good SMU, UCONN, UC, Temple, Memphis all have to be good. Look at the BE conversely. Everyone thought that teams like Marq and Gtown had to carry the conference the first few years. We might get 5-6 bids without either and ha e had 4 different teams all ranked in the Top 10.
AAC guy always welcomed...class act. Bearcat Bounce scattered like a roach when the lights turn on. And we all see through Stever's antics by now.
