Revisiting Big East Recruiting

It's not my nature to defend GTMO, but he said Top 100 recruits, not Top 100 ESPN recruits although once can easily infer that based on the original post that cited ESPN recruits. I do agree with others though, ESPN is probably the worst of the major scouting services. Going off of the 247 composite is probably the most accurate.

Good point, though because the context of the conversation was ESPN I believe it would necessitate a mention of scout or rivals or 247 for his post to make sense. Personally I think ESPN is the best for top rankings, they look to get on future NBA players early and evaluate talent from that perspective but after say the top 20-30 I'd say they're very poor. The other outlets evaluate on college talent so I feel they're somewhat better in that regard when it comes to who's below High school all American talent. It's why I choose 247 if I can.
