Butler, and Depaul could do better honestly.

Really surprised how poor SJU's is given they are thinking about NCAA this year.

Georgetown has a better schedule than last year but they need to do better. It hurts the conference.

I may be wrong, but ditching the RPI in favor of the NET makes it hurt less. It may or may not end up hurting Georgetown, but not the whole conference. Well, assuming they're blowing out Maryland Eastern Shore and Little Rock by 10+ points.

Marquette's got the toughest schedule imo.

Marquette has no where near the toughest schedule...... they have first off only 3 road/neutral games which will hurt them. They could wind up with 4 tier 1 games. Marquettes schedule in the old system would be very possibly outside the top 100..... Too many dregs on the schedule.

Compare to Seton Hall. They could wind up with 4 tier 1 games- and if they get Miami in the Legacy- a 5th tier 1 game. And the St Louis game could be pretty darn close as well.

And if Xavier gets both Duke and Gonzaga in Maui, it's going to be all done... They would have 3 teams projected to be 3 seeds or better. plus a game @ Cincy which will be an easy tier 1. Their schedule would be an easy top 50, and possibly better.

I would say Seton Hall's schedule is a little tougher than Marquette's. They've got an extra true road game and 3 fewer low-majors.

Wisconsin not guaranteed to be a tier 1 game- would have to be top 30. going to be close....

Buffalo with the new system almost a lock to NOT be a tier 1 game. Can't game the system like that any longer. Buffalo was in the predicitve ranks #77 last year instead of #26 in RPI.

also playing Tennessee is no lock. They would have to beat Kansas almost certainly to get Tennessee. Very possible it's Louisville. Still a tier 1 game- but not a top 20 type of game.

Cincy an "easy tier 1"????? Oh, I forgot; they are in the AAAAAAACCCCC, so they must be good. The only "easy" about that game will be X beating the snot out of the bearkitties yet again.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

Being a road game, the threshold for it to be a tier 1 game is top 75. So it would be really difficult for that game to not be a tier 1 game for Xavier.

Buffalo's a bit of a leap of faith, of course they're no guaranteed tier 1 like Kansas. But I think Marquette has the best odds of having the most tier 1 games. I'm not even going to try to guess tier 3 vs tier 4 between RPI and NET, but I believe the selection committee's been focusing on tier 1 & 2.

Buffalo has almost no chance at all of being a tier 1 in this new system.....

Marquette has really 3 that are locks. @ Indiana, vs Kansas, and Kansas St. The neutral one vs Louisville is very possible as well(or Tennessee should they get that). Wisconsin is possible. So 3-5

compare that to Seton Hall. @ Nebraska, vs Kentucky, and @ Maryland are locks. Home with Louisville very possible. Utah and Miami in the Wooden Legacy are both possible top 50 teams. Heck, St Louis is possible top 30. So could get up to 6-7.

Or Xavier. @ Cincy and @ Missouri should be locks. Wisconsin could easily finish top 30- if Marquette gets them, Xavier does as well. They could easily get 3 tier 1 games in Maui- Auburn for sure and if they win that- Duke and then either Arizona or Gonzaga. So they have 3 close to locks in Cincy, Missouri, and Auburn- with another 3 that are very possible.

So no, i wouldn't say at all that Marquette has the best odds of having the most tier 1 games.
