Lonnie Walker to Nova talks heating up. Top 25 player, #4 rated shooting guard in the country. Similar to a Josh Hart type athletic perimeter player.

Yes there are elgibility concerns at least according to Zach Braziller from the NY post. In my opinion St John's is better off, they already have a solid wing coming in with Bashir Ahmed so Alkins wasn't a necessity. It's nice that St John's can lose out on a 5 star guy this year and still be in good shape, unlike last year where they put all their effort into Isiah Briscoe and had no back-up plan.

Rawle Alkins to Arizona

Not at all surprised. St John's was only getting lip service to keep the local media interested. Kid had no intention of ever attending.

Ghost of cheick diallo and isaia Briscoe

Kid keeps his local school in the mix to keep the local media interested. But at the end of the day he isn't really going to attend that school. No different than Cheik Diallo or Isaiah Briscoe.

Without Alkins the St. John's recruiting class is sort of blah. No players in the top 10 at their position. Shamari Ponds the only top 100 recruit. An okay Juco transfer in Bashir Ahmed and then a euor player in Freudenberg that they beat out BC for.

That's not a great class. It is a middle of the road class. Certainly not the gold mine people were hoping for from St. Christopher and not exactly the path to bring the Johnnie's back to glory.

Just shut up dude.

I don't know much about Alkins NBA stock but sometimes it's better to get solid 4 year players than one and done guys like St. John's is doing. Sean Miller said it best at Xavier years ago along the lines of "I prefer having a recruting class of solid four year players than people that will leave in one year but a one and done player is nice every few years."(Could be off on what he said a little I was only 8/9 years old)... But his mindset has changed a tad since going to Arizona... The St. John's rebuild will not be fast but it is improving which you fail to acknowledge.

If one negative thing is muttered on this board about Villanova there is a sh*t storm. But anything goes for St. John's I guess, just cause they are rebuilding nothing will be said.

St. Christopher, really ? Do you have to work hard to be a d!ck, or does it come naturally ? Its amazing how one internet tough guy can make the rest of a fanbase look bad.

Remember SJU fans, one fan does not represent an entire fan base. I think SJU has a VERY good class coming in next year considering Lovett will be considered a freshman as well. You will still be very young and next year might still be a struggle but I think you will already be much improved. Very good building blocks. Like Villanova, SJU just needs to bring in another solid class in 2017 to keep it going.

I keep begging the guy to kiss the next R5 that comes barreling through Villanova's campus. Every time he disappears for a few days I get my hopes up that he took my advice, only to be let down when he shows up a couple days later. Hey Ball, there's still one more train due tonight around midnight... you still have time.
