Without Alkins the St. John's recruiting class is sort of blah. No players in the top 10 at their position. Shamari Ponds the only top 100 recruit. An okay Juco transfer in Bashir Ahmed and then a euor player in Freudenberg that they beat out BC for.
That's not a great class. It is a middle of the road class. Certainly not the gold mine people were hoping for from St. Christopher and not exactly the path to bring the Johnnie's back to glory.

You will still be very young and next year might still be a struggle but I think you will already be much improved. Very good building blocks. Like Villanova, SJU just needs to bring in another solid class in 2017 to keep it going.
