St Johns is always coming up with new and inventive ways to cause upheaval and discord in their program.

There's a reason they're St Johns

Are the Venetians known for their upheaval and discord?

Former Auburn star Mustapha Heron has transferred to St. John’s, due to his mom’s failing health. Heron applied for a hardship waiver. NCAA is treating this legit request like it’s Edward Rooney. Quit wasting legal fees for all and grant Heron the waiver!

So Jay is saying this is a legit request, while multiple people here are saying it isn't? Interesting.

It's impossible to know if it's a legit request from the outside. Based on what's been posted on the internet it doesn't appear to be one, but it could easily be a legit request if what's being propagated around the internet isn't the whole or correct story. I hope he does get eligibility. I don't want St. John's to have any excuses when they fall flat on their faces again.

no problem saying it's a legit reason, but all I've been saying is that the NCAA hasn't been granting any immediate eligibility waivers in the last 4 years.

And frankly, the legal fees would be a joke. It's not a right to play college basketball immediately after transferring. If the policy has been that there are no waivers, and there haven't been any waivers, what leg does Heron/St John's have to really stand on?

Don't pay him any mind. He doesn't know nearly as much as he let on and he's probably salty. An airhead.

I do think the jury is still out on the Johnnies' coaching, but I still think we'll field a better squad than Georgetown. If we add Rice, who I think would be an extremely valuable commidity as an assistant, then we could be on to something. Add Rice AND Heron, and it'll suffice to where we're cooking with grease.
