Saw him play in the '60s as a kid rooting for Creighton. We were an independent trying to get to the NCAA tourney and needed to beat Thompson's ranked team. Marquette won by 3, the game was played in the gym at Boys Town since the city auditorium was booked for something or other. He came back to town a few years later with the Bucks for a game against the Kansas City-Omaha Kings and got a chance to boo him again.
