Huge game for Xavier today. A lot of teams just behind them won- with a lot of big wins. In Bracketville on Friday they were the 9th team in. Well, USC(Arizona St), Oklahoma(@ WVU), Providence(@ Nova), and UCLA(Arizona) all won games that probably push them ahead of Xavier.

A loss today and they're probably like the last 1-2 team in.

Xavier's probably got a cushion of at least 7 spots, probably more, and I'd imagine it's kinda hard to fall that much with 2 Q1 games remaining. Providence probably has better chance of finishing 2nd in the BE than miss the tournament. All 7 BE teams are basically playing for seeding.

I don't know about more. They were 9th team in. had 4 teams below them with huge wins, with probably 3 of those teams passing them IMO(USC, Oklahoma, and Providence). I don't think they pass Indiana and Texas Tech even with their losses. So I could easily see them tomorrow as 2nd team with a bye.

If they lose out from here- they would be 19-13 with a 3-11 Q1 record(maybe 3-12 if 1st BET game is Q1.). They would get really close, and if we have 2-3 bid thieves like last year, they could be really dicey.

Speaking of collegiate teams from Cincinnati who are on the brink, the bear kittens go down to houston earlier today. They are in big trouble.

It also was by greater than the expected margin, lost by 13 instead of 6. Should slightly hurt their metrics. My heart is breaking typing this.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Not sure if I'd be too happy about it if NC state or a PAC12 school takes their spot. Rooting hard for A10 and other mid-majors to steal bids here, as long as the BE isn't affected.

I'm sure Stever will say too many BE teams project to be in the 7-10 range, but I think this is the year that you just want to flood the field with as many teams as possible. You probably wanna avoid Kansas, but I see a lot of beatable teams being projected as 1 and 2 seeds.

I wouldn't want to see Kansas(in Omaha), Baylor(in Omaha), Gonzaga(in Spokane), or Maryland. Or probably Florida St(in Tampa).

Yeah maybe...but how would you like to be one of those schools and see Providence as the 9 seed in your bracket?
