Great night for the league overall. St. John's and Seton Hall, who on Bracket Matrix are positioned the best of the 4 bubble teams, both won. Would've been nice for Butler to win, but Marquette will continue to rise in the rankings. Glad that Nova beat DePaul, since they're not an easy out.

Impressive win by MU. Really thought Butler would win tonight and you guys dominated. It’s a two horse race. The MU - Nova games are gonna be fun.

from a fun standpoint- I think the fact the 1st game this year is at Marquette even makes it that much better....

That day is going to be really fun as that's the same day as the NCAA Sweet 16 initial reveal....

Good game to the Jays...you can tell you guys have some very dangerous weapons just a bit young to put it together yet. Ponds finally looked healthy for the first time in a while.

At this point, I guess having 4 teams in safer positions may be more desirable than keeping more teams alive but in highly dangerous territory. We'll see how things play out.

Marquette and Nova starting to flirt with potentially being 1/2 seeds in NCAAT

MU and Nova 1/2 seeds? Don’t see it. 3-5 at this point, yes.

As of yesterday, Lunardi had Marquette as a 3 seed and Villanova as a 4. Now they both won earlier tonight and both have home stands coming up before they play each other.

Bottom line, if Nova wins these next two home games and then go win on the road against Marquette, id expect them to be a strong 2 seed in any bracket that comes out afterward.

Same with MU if they win their next two home games including the Nova game.

With KU losing, Nevada having a lot of close calls, and UNC or Kentucky likely to take a couple more losses it's certainly possible for MU or Nova to snag a 2 seed but I highly doubt either makes it to the 1 seed without a lot of big upsets happening.

If Marquette sweeps Nova, then wins the BET, I'd think it would be surprising if they don't get a #1 seed. Not that it's gonna happen :D
