After beginning our quest against the F5 with a 1-5 start, we rang off three straight wins in 24 hours with DePaul last night and then the Johnnies bringing the storm to Rutgers and Butler taking out Old Miss tonight. The Gavitts end with a 3-5 showing for the Big East and if Providence wins tomorrow, we even up the record with the F5. Go Friars.

11/17 South Carolina vs. Providence

vs, ACC: 0-0
vs. B1G: 3-5
vs: SEC: 1-0
vs. XII: 0-0
vs. PAC: 0-0
TOTAL: 4-5

Go Big East!

If someone predicted the Big East would go 3-5 in this year’s Gavitt Games, I would not have batted an eye. If they said those 3 wins would come from last year’s bottom dwellers (SJU, Gtown and DePaul), I would ask them to please share what they were smoking.....

With the Friars win this afternoon over the Gamecocks, we are right back to where we were at the start of the week - all square with the F5. More opportunities this week. For those in tournaments, I will update the schedule if F5 opponents appear as teams advance.

11/18: Providence vs. Michigan
11/19: Auburn vs. Xavier
Cal vs. St. John's
11/21: Quette vs. Kansas
11/24: DePaul vs. Notre Dame

vs, ACC: 0-0
vs. B1G: 3-5
vs: SEC: 2-0
vs. XII: 0-0
vs. PAC: 0-0
TOTAL: 5-5

Go Big East!

I wish we had last year's team for this trip to Maui.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

If the BE can go .500 against the F5 in a down year, that'd be a massive success. Keep it up, 4 in a row!

Michigan seems angry that Nova beat them for the National Championship and is taking it out on the entire conference. Friars were their latest victim and that drops us a game under .500. The BEast keeps rolling with two games today. This afternoon Xavier will try to do what Xavier has always done best - beat expectations and knock off a top ten SEC opponent in Auburn. The Johnnies will travel a few miles to the birthplace of their head coach and point guard as they play Cal in the Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It's Feast Week - bring on the hoops!

11/19: Auburn vs. Xavier
Cal vs. St. John's
11/21: Quette vs. Kansas
11/24: DePaul vs. Notre Dame

vs, ACC: 0-0
vs. B1G: 3-6
vs: SEC: 2-0
vs. XII: 0-0
vs. PAC: 0-0
TOTAL: 5-6

Go Big East!

Johnnies even it out at 6-6 after the win over Cal of the PAC 12. Back to back F5 teams beaten. Love to beat Georgia Tech soon too.

Creighton will get Clemson or Georgia tomorrow in the Caymans, gotta get past Georgia State tonight. Games are on Stadium via Facebook with Doug GotDweeb calling the game commercial free. It's, well, another weird turkey tourney for the Jays. We finally are putting it together tho, it was a pretty good drilling of a very athletic Boise State bunch. Still got the shooters but we have 10 deep willing to play tough D, helping out our three bugs, who are healing and or learning
