This has nothing to do with my huge Big East/Depaul homerism goggles, but Depaul was forced to grab ankles in the first half by these refs. And I can't provide a concrete reason why, but, I don't like Illinois basketball and wish them nothing but bad luck and an abundance of defeats. This game has only reinforced these feelings. Depaul got within two, and suddenly the whistles began to blow. They just can't get over that hump. Depaul needs one good run that puts them ahead, and I think Illinois will fold.....Once again, 9:07 mark, Depaul with the ball down five, and they get called for a clear BS foul.

Alright Depaul, down 6, Strus at the line for 3 shots. 8 minutes left. Just ONE more run.....come on Blue Demons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roberts can ball. I fear this may be the same type of season record-wise for DePaul, but they are definitely heading in the right direction. Much more talent overall and much more competitive it feels like.
