The Quette put up a fight but fall to Purdue. So far we have only played ranked teams and none of our ranked teams have played an F5 team. That changes somewhat tonight. Three games on tap.

Wed. - November 15: Indiana vs. Seton Hall
Butler vs. Maryland
Creighton vs. Northwestern
Thr. - November 16: Nebraska vs. St. John's
Xavier vs. Wisconsin
Washington vs. Providence
Fri. - November 17: DePaul vs. Illinois

ACC : 0-1
SEC : 0-0
B1G : 0-2
PAC : 0-0
B12 : 0-0

Overall 0 -3

Rough start against F5 but so far it has been their ranked teams against our unranked like Redmen said. We have to take care of Nebraska tonight. They are not Minnesota or MSU. It's time to show clear superiority over the bottom feeders of F5 conferences on a consistent basis. Will not be easy but I expect to win.

Tonight is Weds., time for the Hall, Butler, and Creighton to get going. I expect all 3 of our teams to win tonite. That will set the table for the Johnnies and Xavier to slam the door on the B1G.

Have a real shot at 5-0 the rest of the week when you add the VT game for PC on Friday night you would think.

The Big East entered Thursday down 2-3 to the Big Ten and 2-4 to the F5. Thursday night started in NYC with the Johnnies putting a pounding on the Corn Huskers to even up the Gavitt Games. We then went on the road to Wisconsin where the X Men showed Wiscy why they are ranked - and should be ranked higher. Xavier grabs the road win and secured at least a tie for the Big East in the Gavitt Games. Finally, we go back to New York where the Friars bounce back from a loss earlier in the week and take out Washington to give the Big East a 5-4 lead over the F5. Great night for the BEast. Tonight, DePaul can win the Gavitts with a W. Lots of games coming up Thanksgiving week.

Fri. - November 17: DePaul vs. Illinois
Mon. - November 20: UCLA vs. Creighton
Tue. - November 21: TBD
Thr. - November 23: Oregon St. vs. St. John's
Texas vs. Butler
Michigan State vs. DePaul
Purdue/Tennessee vs. Villanova
Fri. - November 24: TBD vs. St. John's
TBD vs. Butler
TBD vs. Xavier
TBD vs. DePaul
TBD vs. Seton Hall
TBD vs. Villanova

ACC : 0-1
SEC : 0-0
B1G : 4-3
PAC : 1-0
B12 : 0-0

Overall 5-4

Although it is early, Big East Conference RPI jumped to Number 1 after last night's wins.

Yeah. The one thing that really sucks for PC now is tonight's a no win situation for them in Ken Pom. SLU still rated #141(after starting #168). Last night improved them by 23 spots. But as a result- PC is favored tonight in KP by 10 points. So a win won't help them ratings wise much at all. But a loss- VT last night dropped from 45 to 54.

That's 1 thing that I don't necessarily like about KP. I don't know that the preseason stuff ever truly fleshes out. I mean, lets say SLU winds up going 28-5 for discussions sake and is #25 in the final standings. Does the game tonight for PC get re-evaluated or is it just looked at tonight? Because if it's just looked at tonight, that's totally unfair to PC. And I'd say the same thing in reverse. Let's say SMU in the AAC turns out to go back to being a pumpkin this year. Does a team like Arizona who would see them in 2nd round deserve to get credit for playing #25 team, when end of the season they're #141? I sure don't think so.
