6 full-list rankings so far (1-10 in some fashion).

4 of 6 have the Hoyas at #10.

Who would have guessed that 4 years ago?

A bit disappointing seeing SJU at #8 on these lists, but not necessarily unwarranted.

For SJU, 8th place would be pretty disappointing. Would place a lot of pressure on Mullin and the program.

I'm thinking 6th place for SJU and a bubble team. Hope I'm right. I still want to hold off on the rest of the rankings until we know more.

I don't think you should look at it this way. This past season, 3-7 ended up with the same conference record. It could easily have been 3-8 or 4-8 or whatever. Early on it looked like Nova, CU, BU and X could run away with it, but CU and X drifted back toward the middle of the pack. X ended up the 7 seed in the conf tourney but went to the EE. In a good conference, there's no shame in finishing on the low side of the middle. Of course we all want to run the table like Nova, but that's unlikely to say the least.

If SJ has a very solid non-con and then goes 8-10 in the BEast and finishes 8th due to tiebreakers, there's no shame in that. And even if they end up a bit worse, I don't think CM would be on the hot seat. He inherited a rebuilding situation. This next season will be his third. SJ plays in the BEast, not the Big West. Even with improvements in the roster and their play, it's tough to climb the ladder in this conference.

Nova
Xavier
PC
Butler
Seton Hall
Creighton
Marquette
SJU
Georgetown
DePaul

Another advantage for us right there: we only have to rank 10 teams, not 12 or 14...

Someone on PC always makes the leap under Cooley and this year he has everyone back. Additionally, they always overachieve their preseason ranking. I think they end up Top 2 with Nova.

A lot of roster changes and a few still to come, but I'll go with this:
Nova
Xavier
PC
Butler
Creighton
Seton Hall
Marquette
SJU
Georgetown
DePaul

I think Butler could really be anywhere from 2-8th though. 4 total upperclassman, but a lot of talent coming in... Should be another crazy BE season! Can't wait!

If St. John's finishes 8th with arguably the best backcourt in the country and clearly the Big East, it will be a huge disappointment. If SJ finishes 8th, it will be because we have nothing in our frontcourt and they all continue to be awful.
