Bummed I won't be able to make today's game in MSG. First miss for me there since the new conference started. Nothing like the energy of Manhattan and MSG. Hoping the NYC Nova alums come out in full force and both teams put on a show worthy of the venue.

to me, today is a huge day for the conference wanting more than 4 teams making the tourney....

Seton Hall @ Providence
UConn @ Georgetown

Just look at their remaining schedules with losses-
Marquette would be 2-3, needing 10 wins. Would need to go 8-5 rest of the way. 7 games left with top 4 teams, along with road games @ Georgetown, Providence, DePaul, and St John's.
Seton Hall would be 2-3, needing 9 wins. Would need to go 7-6 rest of the way. 7 games left with top 4 teams, along with road games @ Georgetown, St John's, and DePaul
Georgetown would be 1-4, needing 10 wins. Would need to go 9-4 rest of the way. 6 games left with top 4 teams, along with road games @ DePaul, Seton Hall, and St John's.

Seton Hall would be IMO the only one that would be close to reasonable.

NCAA needs to institute a "Jenkins Rule" that's doesn't allow players to throw themselves into a defender to get a foul

It's not just Jenkins. I've always hated that. You pump fake a guy into the air, great, but then you totally jump to the left or right into a guys stomach, create the contact your self, and then flail the ball into the air and get 3 shots. Just very lame to me. I hate when johnnies do it as well.

Maybe because it's not sour grapes, it's just an observation about the game. This is a game thread, no?

Ok. My observation is that this SJU team is very undisciplined defensively on pump fakes in general and Kris Jenkins is really good at pump fakes. That combination will certainly continue to cause some frustration for the SJU fans during today's game.

On a side note, that was a really sloppy first half of BB.
