Seems like abnormal, obnoxious behavior to stand the entire game to me. I wasn't at the game so can't say for sure that it was obnoxious, but having attended college basketball games all of over the country I can say that it is 100% abnormal. And the fact that it screws thousands of people behind them, including elderly and kids, well if you agree with that I hope your season tickets are not in front of mine when I'm 80.
But hey, whatever floats your boat. If you want to be annoying, ignorant and abnormal, be annoying, ignorant and abnormal. Most people understand when normal people stand at a game.
Anyway, I went into the game rooting for a non P5 as I always do, but after reading that post from someone at the Dunk I watched the second half hoping WSU fans would be bounced from the dance.

Really? Standing at a game is annoying, ignorant and abnormal?

Well, I've been to numerous SJU games at both MSG and Carnesecca and I've never seen it there, so yes it's abnormal among your fan base. Standing the entire game is definitely abnormal.
I've been to games at PC, UConn (Hartford and Storrs), Boston College, Seton Hall, Notre Dame, SJU (MSG and Carnesecca), Rutgers, Villanova, Holy Cross, DePaul, Barclays Center, MSG, etc. etc. Guess what? Never seen any fans stand the entire game, especially with people behind them, so yeah...abnormal.
Also been to the BET annually for years, and unlike another poster in this thread - I've never seen it.
Only reason to do it is to be an asshole.
SJU has sucked for the last 15 years. If an entire section is standing it's not to be an asshole, If thats their fan base's thing then thats what they do. Some schools wont sit until their team scores a basket. Wichita fans stand up. They have the right to do that at an NCAA game. At that event YOU are the visitor, not the fans of the teams actually playing in the building.
